[marron]Abstract[/marron]

A biographical sketch of the life and work of Fritz Jahr is shown through rigourous research that adds a detailed analysis of his thoughts and publications. The historical and political context in which he had to work as a Protestant pastor and educator is also given. Jahr’s contribution can be summarized in ten chapters, which synthesize the main aspects of his view on Bio-ethics, a concept he originally coined in 1927: (1) A new Academic Discipline, (2) A new Basic Virtue Ethics, (3) A new Golden Rule Principle: The Bioethical Imperative, (4) A new Personal Health Care Rule and Ethics, (5) A new Public Health Care Rule and Ethics, (6) A new Global Stewardship Rule and Ethics, (7) A new Management Rule and Corporate Ethics, (8) A new Terminology Rule and Terminological Ethics, (9) A new Rule and Ethics of Differentiation, (10) A new Interaction and Integration Rule and Ethics.
