Summary
CRISPR-Cas9 is a revolution, especially in food, for the new generation of plant and animal species. But also in the human sphere, from the eradication of genetically transmissible diseases, and in the medium term neutralizing diseases such as HIV or cancer, or, in perspective, eliminating the cells of aging, offering a horizon of longevity for the species human Therefore, it opens a series of ethical questions. This document, prepared for the World Congress of the International Network for The UNESCO Chair in Bioethics (Jerusalem, 2018) presents different contributions to think about the complexity at stake. It introduces the value of narrative bioethics (literature, cinema) and case studies, while reaffirming the importance of reading the pioneering texts of Fritz Jahr. It is proposed an integrated model that allows us to think about an articulation between genetics and agroecology, neuronal models and conjectural sciences.
